Want a different experience of Year 13?
Get the best of Year 13, whilst taking on the fresh challenges of living away from home and exploring your leadership skills and potential.
We are thrilled to announce2 Intern Scholarship positions in 2018 to embark on a life-changing year in the country music capital of Australia, via the Year 13 ‘Block’ mode.
Calrossy Anglican School in Tamworth, NSW, is offering scholarships to suitable Year 13 students who will be willing to live and work within the school community, setting a Christ-like example to their students.
Could this be for you?
Calrossy Anglican School is a thriving rural Preparatory to Year 12 school, nearly 1,000 day and boarding students.
You will live as part of the boarding school during term time, and work 4 days per week as part of the Chaplaincy team engaged in school-based children's and youth ministry. All meals and accommodation are provided by Calrossy, along with a weekly allowance of $190. This allows you 1 day for private study, and 2 days off each week.
During term breaks, you will travel and stay at the Year 13 campus in Sydney to complete the course with the other ‘Block’ mode students. Of course, you’ll still be involved in the Year 13 short-term mission trip and all other special courses Year 13 offers.
At Calrossy, you will participate in a wide range of ministries, supervised and mentored by the Chaplaining Team, which include teaching, Chapel services, Christian groups, discipleship of students, and building relationships with students through other activities like sports team coaching.
You will also be connected with one of our 4 local bible-based, Christ-centred Anglican churches as “home-base”, and would be provided experiences of Australian rural life in the form of farm-stay opportunities.
If you think this is for you, simply apply for Year 13 as normal and advise us via email that you’re interested in the Calrossy Intern Scholarship. We’ll get in contact with you with more information and to talk through the next steps.
